Copyright & DMCA Policy
SceneGo respects creative ownership and expects members to do the same. This Policy describes how to report material believed to infringe copyright.
1. Ownership and platform access
Creators retain ownership of their screenplays and other original content. Uploading a work does not transfer ownership to SceneGo, register copyright, prove authorship, or guarantee protection against misuse. Public project information and approved screenplay access remain subject to the Terms of Use.
2. Copyright notice requirements
A notice should identify the copyrighted work; identify and locate the allegedly infringing material; provide the complaining party’s name and contact information; include a good-faith statement that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, agent, or law; include a statement that the notice is accurate and the sender is authorized to act; and include a physical or electronic signature.
Copyright notices may be sent to support@scenegoapp.com or submitted through the closest in-app reporting category.
3. Review and removal
We may forward a notice to the affected member and may remove or disable access to material in good faith. We may request missing information. Removal is not a determination of ownership or liability. We may preserve the notice and related records as required for compliance and disputes.
4. Counter-notice
A member who believes material was removed by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice identifying the removed material and prior location; consenting to jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court; agreeing to accept service of process from the original claimant; stating under penalty of perjury a good-faith belief that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification; and providing name, address, telephone number, and signature.
Where legally appropriate, SceneGo may restore material after forwarding a valid counter-notice unless the claimant timely provides notice of a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.
5. Repeat infringers and misrepresentation
SceneGo may terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and may consider valid notices, counter-notices, retractions, court orders, and surrounding facts. Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a notice or counter-notice may result in liability and account action. Seek legal advice if uncertain.
6. Trademark and other rights
Copyright procedures do not resolve trademark, privacy, publicity, contract, confidentiality, or idea-submission disputes. Report those concerns through the closest in-app category or support@scenegoapp.com with sufficient detail and supporting information.
